Majordomo: Reviews & Ratings

First timer here, half the dishes were a hit and half weren’t for me personally. The tuna carpaccio was very good. Their bing bread is some of the best bread I’ve ever had; I enjoyed it with their eggplant & pine nut gremolata. I would come back just for that heavenly bread-dip combo. The little gem salad & stuffed peppers were a little disappointing; the roe made the salad taste a little salty but the crunchy addition was definitely good compliment. The stuffed peppers are shishito peppers and were perfectly fried, but there was barely any sausage inside. The Iberico pork was smoky and flavorful. The crispy mushroom rice was a little bland but the differences in texture made it a unique dish. I’d like to come back with a group to try their bossam and short-rib plate sometime and definitely double down on the bing bread.

Surprise pick by the husband and he nailed it. We preordered the whole plate short rib and it was worth every penny fall off the bone, melts in your mouth and tasty with great condiments. Plenty of food for two people we definitely took some home. We also had the bing bun basket and that was a highlight the sides were so unique and delicious with the fluffy yummy bread. We ended with honey pie and even that was solid and great end to a delicious meal. The servers were very friendly and the inside of the restaurant is quite nice. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious food with amazing service! Parking is $13 by valet but you can easily find free street parking a block away. Restaurant is spacious and staff are all very friendly. We ordered the bing, tapioca lo mein, hamachi collar and grilled pork. Every dish is packed with flavor. The wait between dishes can be a bit long however, but nothing a good convo can't solve! There’s also a 3% back of house charge FYI. Definitely will come back again -- with not friends so we can try their Bo ssam and short rib!

You have to get their bing and mushroom rice! Though I like vinegar and sour flavors in general, bok choy was a bit too sugary and sour. Could not recommend iberico pork either because it was too salty to my liking. We also got rice pudding which I was okay with but my husband didn’t like the texture. But overall, I would return because on top of overall great food, the servers were super attentive and friendly (getting my dog a bowl of water even before asking).

We had a wonderful dinner here and already excited to dine here again on our next drive to LA. Made our resy on Opentable and when we arrived starving at 5:30pm there was already a long queue to get in. Did my research and ordered the favorites: Lemon drop martini ($18) of course Bing with ricotta, jam & chili ($14): deeelicious starter Gem salad ($24): ceasar-ish, super refreshing and sooo tasty we almost licked the platter Mushroom crispy rice ($48): our absolute favorite and paired sooo well with the tender juicy pork chop ($36). Pork chop took awhile to be served but it was worth the wait. Friendly service, nice bar set-up, dim lighting conducive for an impressive date night and wowza Japanese toilets (!) Just not too impressed with the loud music. Glad to find this gem in the industrial artsy side of LA. Will definitely return to try the other dishes on a relatively small menu. (3% surcharge is automatically added to your bill for the dishwashers, externs (?), line cooks etc)

David Chang really outdid himself at this location. Food and atmosphere were both top notch and the staff to match. Make sure you try the bing. They are melt in your mouth amazing with incredibly flavorful and colorful dips. The steak was cooked perfectly and one of the most tender cuts I have had in a while.

We had an amazing dining experience and couldn’t be happier with the customer service. Our server, Rei, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the evening. The food was exceptional, from start to finish, and every dish exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed our dinner and would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting LA. Definitely worth a visit.

What a wonderful restuarant! Delicious food, warm and welcoming service, great atmosphere as well! Everything we ordered tastes great, from the cocktails, the stuffed pepper to tapioca noodle to rice pudding. We were celebrating our anniverary and they brought us free sparking wine which is very thoughtful. In addition the sommelier gave a free glass of dessert wine to pair with rice pudding. We have a wonderful time there.
